Section 2: ASAP EMS Messages
This appendix lists the tokenized Event Management Service (EMS) messages
generated by ASAP and describes the tokens contained in each message. Event
messages of this format are generated if the EVENTS option is set to OFF, ON,
INFORMATIVE, or CRITICAL when the Collect or Monitor process is started.
Tokenized event messages are not generated if the EVENTS option is set to NOEMS.
ASAP generates two categories of messages: subsystem internal events, such as
process startups and shutdowns, and performance events, which are generated
whenever an entity (CPU, Expand line-handler, or process) exceeds a threshold value.
Event messages are generated for these occurrences when the EVENTS option is set
to ON, INFORMATIVE, CRITICAL, or NOEMS. For both categories of events, all
messages are tokenized unless the EVENTS option is set to NOEMS.
