is one of these SPI error numbers:

Indicates there is no error
-1
Indicates an invalid buffer format
-2
Indicates an invalid parameter value
-3
Indicates a missing parameter
-4
Indicates an invalid parameter address

Indicates the buffer is full
-6
Indicates an invalid checksum
-7
Indicates an internal error
-8
Indicates the list token was not found
-9
Indicates an invalid token code or map
-10
Indicates an invalid subsystem ID
-11
Indicates the operation is not supported
-12
Indicates insufficient stack space
Cause. A Subsystem Programmatic Interface (SPI) error occurred in communication
between the Expand SGP and the Expand Manager.
Effect. The Monitor cannot communicate with the Expand Manager.
Recovery. Check that the Expand Manager is up and running. If the problem persists,
contact your HP representative.

Cause. The Expand SGP could not communicate with the Expand manager.
