Monitoring File
8. Display currently configured objectives in the Objectives DB of the local node:
+ RANK EXPAND
Expand \Chicago
Dframsnt < 1000 Info NoDisplay
9. Commit the changes to see results at the next sample:
+ COMMIT
10. List the attributes of the EXPANDIP entity:
+ SHOW EXPANDIP
You can set objectives on any attribute with a state pair; for example, Dframsnt,
Dframrvd, Dbytesnt, and so on.
Monitoring File
1. Display currently configured domains in the Objectives DB of the local node:
+ MONITOR FILE
<no domains>
2. Start monitoring a few domains (only the $System.system.asapmon file is
automatically monitored by default; when you configure additional file domains,
$System.system.asapmon stops being monitored unless you add it to the Objectives
DB using the MONITOR command):
+ MONITOR FILE $System.system.userid
+ MONITOR FILE $System.system.useridak
+ MONITOR FILE $Data.logfiles
+ MONITOR FILE $Build.sources
3. Review the list of domains:
+ MONITOR FILE
File \Chicago
On - $Build.Sources
On - $Data.Logfiles
On - $System.System.Userid
On - $System.System.Useridak
4. Commit the changes to see results at the next sample:
+ COMMIT
5. Display currently configured objectives in the Objectives DB of the local node:
+ RANK FILE
<no objectives>
6. Set a global objective with no EMS event:
+ RANK FILE, FULL <= 85
