Overview of the ATP6100 Subsystem
Asynchronous Terminals and Printer Processes Configuration and Management Manual—424280-003
2-2
Event Management Service (EMS)
subsystem is described in Section 6, Managing ATP6100 Using the
Subsystem Control Facility (SCF).
Event Management Service (EMS)
EMS is a DSM interface that provides event collection, logging, and distribution
facilities. The ATP6100 subsystem reports events to EMS. ATP6100 subsystem events
are described in the Operator Messages Manual.
Compaq TSM
The TSM package is a client/server application that provides troubleshooting,
maintenance, and service tools for the NonStop S-series server. TSM consists of
software components that run on the NonStop S-series server and on a PC-compatible
workstation. The TSM software on the workstation features an easy-to-use graphic
user interface (GUI) that contains extensive online help.
HP Open System Management (OSM)
For the G06.21 RVU, the HP Open System Management (OSM) product replaces TSM
as the system management tool of choice for NonStop S-series systems. OSM offers a
browser-based interface that improves scalability and performance and overcomes
other limitations that exist in TSM. TSM is still supported; however, OSM is required to
support new functionality in the G06.21 RVU and later. For more information on OSM,
see the OSM Migration Guide and the OSM User's Guide.
Note. TSM is not supported on Integrity NonStop NS-series servers. OSM is the supported
system management tool for Integrity NonStop NS-series servers.
