Configuring the ATP6100 Subsystem
This section provides an overview of the ATP6100 subsystem on an
Integrity NonStop NS-series or NonStop S-series server and describes how to
configure the ATP6100 subsystem .
This section contains the following topics:
Concentrators Supported on page 3-1
WAN Subsystem Interface to ATP6100 on page 3-2
Profile Object Files and Associated Protocols on page 3-3
Creating an ATP6100 Line-Handler Process on page 3-4
Modifiers specific to each device supported by ATP6100 are described in the following
sections:
Section 4, Printer Profiles and Default Modifiers
Section 5, Terminal Profiles and Default Modifiers
When configuring the ATP6100 subsystem for Integrity NonStop NS-series or
NonStop S-series servers, keep in mind the following:
The System Generation (SYSGEN) program is not used to configure the ATP6100
subsystem on Integrity NonStop NS-series or NonStop S-series servers.
The WAN subsystem is used to define and start the ATP6100 subsystem. The
ATP6100 subsystem must be started before you attempt to configure the ATP6100
subsystem. Refer to the WAN Subsystem Configuration and Management Manual.
All configuring and monitoring of the ATP6100 subsystem is now handled through
the Subsystem Control Facility (SCF).
For Integrity NonStop NS-series or NonStop S-series servers, the ATP6100
subsystem TYPE must be specified as (53,0).
Profiles are designed for specific devices. Use only the profile which supports the
device being added.
Concentrators Supported
For Integrity NonStop NS-series or NonStop S-series servers, the supported
concentrators are the SWAN concentrator and SWAN 2 concentrator. For detailed
information on how to configure these concentrators, refer to the WAN Subsystem
Configuration and Management Manual.
