Printer Modifiers
BAUD n
This modifier specifies the baud rate for the serial interface. The baud rate specified by
each serial printer profile is listed below.
CHAR n
This modifier specifies the number of data bits representing each character. Specify
CHAR7 or CHAR8 for ASCII transmission.
CLBFRAMESIZE n
This modifier changes the default frame size. If you specify a value larger than the
range, the IOP changes the value to the maximum allowed.
CLBRETRIES n
This modifier specifies the number of retries for requests. The default value allows
optimum resource use. A value larger than the default may result in excessive retries.

All profiles except 5577 9600
5577 38400
Application: Serial printers
Default: The ASYNC_PRT serial printer profile specifies 7 data bits (CHAR7);
the 5512, 5515, 5516, 5573, 5574, and 5577 serial-printer profiles
specify 8 data bits (CHAR8).
