Terminal Modifiers
RESETONCONNECT
This modifier causes a terminal’s default mode to be set following a connection. This is
an optional modifier. If not specified, it is FALSE; if specified, it is TRUE.
RETRIES n
This modifier specifies the number of retries when you are using the ENQ/ACK
flow-control handshake.
RS232
This modifier specifies the concentrator interface as RS-232C.
RSIZE n
Although the record size for a SWAN/SWAN 2 concentrator is specified by default, you
have the option of specifying the record size for documentation purposes. If you
specify RSIZE for a SWAN/SWAN 2 concentrator, you must specify RSIZE 80.
SISO
This modifier allows 8-bit code characters to be transmitted in a 7-bit code
communications environment. Eight-bit character sets are useful for foreign language
and graphics applications. This feature is provided for conversational-mode and 6530
block-mode communications only; it can be modified through SETMODE function 110.
Because SISO affects throughput, do not specify SISO unless it is required.
