Overview of the ATP6100 Subsystem SCF Interface
Overview of the ATP6100 Subsystem SCF
Interface
The ATP6100 subsystem SCF interface is provided to configure, control, and display
information about configured objects within the ATP6100 subsystem. This subsection
provides information on the following topics:
•
SCF Interface to ATP6100
•
ATP6100 Subsystem Objects
•
Object States
•
SCF Commands and Objects
•
Sensitive and Nonsensitive Commands
•
Wild-Card Support
•

SCF Interface to ATP6100
SCF provides an operator interface to a process called the Subsystem Control Point
(SCP). SCP in turn provides an interface to the various subsystem processes that
perform data communications operations and services. Figure 6-1 on page 6-3
illustrates this structure. The default SCP process, known to the system as $ZNET,
provides access for application programs (whether local or remote) to monitor and
control the ATP6100 subsystem. SCF automatically opens and closes the SCP. For
more information on SCP, see the SCF Reference Manual for SCP.
The wide area network (WAN) subsystem is used to add and configure ATP6100
devices and lines. (Refer to Section 3, Configuring the ATP6100 Subsystem, for
information on using the WAN subsystem to configure and start an ATP6100 line-
handler process.) The WAN subsystem does not allow you to alter or manage
ATP6100 lines; you manage the lines with SCF through the ATP6100 subsystem.
