 Application programs using 5520, 5530, and 5540/5541 print- |
 ers should not issue escape sequences; the I/O process |
 translates commands sent by the application program into |
 the appropriate escape sequences recognized by the printer. |
 However, application programs using 5573 printers, 5512 |
 printers designed to replace 5520 printers, or 5515/5516 |
 printers can issue escape sequences. |
