CONSOLE MESSAGES
Console Error Messages Sent by TERMPROCESS
06 LDEV ldev CU ccu UP
CAUSE: The operator returned the terminal
to the system through a Peripheral Utility
Program UP or REVIVE command.
SYSTEM The operation is complete; the terminal is
ACTION: up.
RECOVERY: Informative message only; no corrective
action needed.
07 LDEV ldev CU ccu DOWN {BELL}
CAUSE: The operator removed the terminal from the
system with a Peripheral Utility Program DOWN
command.
SYSTEM The operation is complete; the terminal is
ACTION: down.
RECOVERY: If a DOWN command did not cause this message,
call your Tandem representative.

parameter-1 parameter-2 parameter-3 {BELL}
CAUSE: A communication process detected an error.
The parameter values contain specific error
information, which is process-dependent.
RECOVERY: If the I/O process can recover from the
internal error, it will. If not, report
this and any related messages to your Tandem
representative.
CONSOLE ERROR MESSAGES SENT BY SERIALPRINTPROCESS
SERIALPRINTPROCESS generates the following console error
messages:

ERROR dev-status parameter-1 parameter-2 parameter-3
{BELL}
In general, this message indicates that an error
occurred on the indicated device and the I/O retry
did not succeed.
