The DEFINES paragraph contains optional descriptors for use in
subsequent paragraphs. These descriptors are useful in defining
peripherals that have many common characteristics. A descriptor
contains the common modifiers required by a type of device.
Then, the description of such a device in the PERIPHERALS
paragraph, consists of the descriptor name and any additional
modifiers.
| The MULTIFUNCTION_CONTROLLERS paragraph must contain a definition
| of each multifunction controller in the system. If you do not
| use a 3681 controller, do not include this paragraph.
The CONTROLLERS paragraph must contain a definition of each
| controller in the system. For ATP6100, a controller can be a
| 6105 CC, 3605 CC, 6106 ACC, 3606 ACC, CIU, or 3681 MFC. In a
CIU-based system, there are two 6101 CIUs. The system views a
dual-port CIU as two controllers. It views a single-port CIU as
a single controller. For TERMPROCESS or SERIALPRINTPROCESS, the
controller is a 6303 with up to two 6304 extensions. The 6303
| and any 6304s must be described separately. SYSGEN assumes 32
| lines for a 6303, regardless of the number of 6304 extensions; if
| there are no extensions or as many as two extensions, 32 lines
| are assumed.
The PATHS paragraph is used only for 6100 subsystems. This
paragraph defines the path name associated with each controller.
| This paragraph is not used when configuring devices controlled by
| a 3681 MFC.
The MICROCODE_FILES paragraph describes the downloadable mi-
crocode files for all 6100 CSS controllers in your system. This
paragraph is not used when configuring devices controlled by
TERMPROCESS and SERIALPRINTPROCESS.
The PERIPHERALS paragraph describes communication lines,
terminals, and printers. For ATP6100, this paragraph describes
the CSM process pair. An important part of the PERIPHERALS
paragraph is the optional MULTI modifier. If the MULTI modifier
