Start the Replacement ATM3SA Adapter
Note that the ADAPTER object is in the STARTED state.
2. If the ATM3SA ADAPTER object is in the STOPPED state, start it and its
subordinate objects.
Start the Replacement ATM3SA Adapter
You need to perform this step only if the ATM3SA adapter is not in the STARTED state.
You can use SCF, OSM, or TSM to start the adapter.
Using the SCF START Command With the SUB ALL Option
To start the adapter by using SCF, enter the following command:
START ADAPTER $adapter-name, SUB ALL
Using the OSM Service Connection or the TSM Service
Application
1. In the Tree pane, right-click the ATM adapter.
2. From the menu, select Actions.
3. Select Start.
4. Click Perform action.
Troubleshooting: If the ATM3SA Adapter Object Is Still in the
STARTING State
If the SCF STATUS ADAPTER command shows that the ADAPTER object is still in the
STARTING state after a few minutes or if the OSM Service Connection or the TSM
Service Application indicates that the resource needs attention, see Troubleshooting: If
the ATM3SA Adapter Object Is Still in the STARTING State on page 2-14.
Restart the Communications Lines
Start the communications lines using an ATM3SA adapter:
1. To start the TCP/IP subnets, use the SCF START SUBNET command:.
START SUBNET $tcpip-process-name.#subnet-name
