START ADAPTER Command
SUB { ALL | NONE | ONLY }
selects the subordinate objects the command affects.
ALL
specifies that the named object and the subordinate objects are affected.
NONE
specifies that the name object is affected but that the subordinate objects are
not.
Default: None.
ONLY
specifies that only the subordinate objects are affected.
Considerations
•
When you use the START ADAPTER command, the object should be in the
STOPPED summary state.
•
Use the STATUS ADAPTER command to verify successful completion of the
START ADAPTER command.
•
The START ADAPTER command causes the adapter software to be downloaded.
•
The LINE and ATMSAP objects supported by the subsystem are automatically
added by the subsystem.
Examples
These examples start the adapter named $AM1:
-> START ADAPTER $AM1
-> START ADAPTER $AM1, SUB ALL
