Step 4: Start the ATMSAP Object
Start the ATMSAP object to complete your ATM ServerNet configuration.
You can issue the SCF START ATMSAP command or start the ATMSAP object by
using the START LINE command with the SUB ALL option. For more information on
using this command, see Section 4, SCF Commands.
START ATMSAP Command
To start the ATMSAP object, use the ATM subsystem SCF START ATMSAP command.
ATMSAP atmsap-name
specifies the ATMSAP name to be started.
Example
The following command starts the ATMSAP object:
-> START ATMSAP $AM1.#IP
Step 5: Create and Start the PVC Object
The PVC object must be created and started using the SCF ADD PVC and START
PVC commands.
Creating and starting a PVC object is optional.
ADD PVC Command
The ADD PVC command creates a PVC object for the ATM subsystem. PVC is
supported only for native operation; LAN emulation is not supported.
OUT file-spec
causes any SCF output generated for this command to be directed to the specified
file.
Note. The LINE and ATMSAP objects are created automatically by the ASM.
