ABORT Command
ABORT Command
The ABORT command terminates the operation of objects as quickly as possible. Only
enough processing is done to ensure the integrity of the subsystem. The object is left
in the STOPPED state.
ABORT is a sensitive command.
The ABORT command is supported for the following ATM subsystem objects:
ADAPTER
ATMSAP
LINE
PVC
SUBSYS
SVC
Considerations
All activities being performed by the specified objects are terminated.
The ABORT command returns an error if the summary state of subordinate objects
are not STOPPED.
To restart an aborted object, use the START command (except for SVC objects).
Use the STATUS command to determine the current summary state of the objects.
For more information enter: HELP subsys cmd object-type
-> HELP ATM ABORT object-type
ABORT ADAPTER Command
The ABORT ADAPTER command terminates the operation of an ADAPTER and
places the ADAPTER object in the STOPPED summary state. If the downloaded
operational software is currently running in the ADAPTER, the software terminates and
places the ADAPTER in the boot state.
