ABORT ADAPTER Command
ADAPTER adapter-name
specifies the name of the ADAPTER to be aborted. The ADAPTER name has the
form $AM1.
SUB { ALL | NONE | ONLY }
selects the subordinate objects the command affects.
ALL
specifies that the named object and the subordinate objects are affected.
NONE
specifies that the name object is affected but that the subordinate objects are
not.
Default: NONE
ONLY
specifies that only the subordinate objects are affected.
Considerations
Before an ADAPTER can be aborted, all of the associated subordinate objects
must also be in the STOPPED summary state.
The ABORT ADAPTER command forces the ADAPTER into the boot state.
Aborting the ADAPTER results in deletion of all subsystem-added ATMSAP
objects.
The ATM address is also reset to all zeros.
Examples
These examples show the ABORT ADAPTER command:
-> ABORT ADAPTER $AM1
-> ABORT ADAPTER ($AM1,$AM2)
-> ABORT ADAPTER $AM1, SUB ALL
