ADD ADAPTER Command
LOCATION ( group, enclosure, slot )
specifies the physical location of the ADAPTER in the system. The location is
specified as a tuple indicating the group, module, and slot enclosed in parenthesis.
This attribute is required.
AMPFILENAME string
specifies the program name for AMP.
Default: $SYSTEM.SYS*.AMP. Where SYS* indicates the SYSnn of the current
running system.
DLFILENAME string
specifies the name of the download file to set up the ADAPTER.
Default: $SYSTEM.SYS*.C7838P00. Where SYS* indicates the SYSnn of the
current running system.
FIRMWFILENAME string
specifies the ADAPTER FIRMWARE file name. The firmware file name contains
the firmware or (referred to as bootcode) for the ADAPTER.
Default: $SYSTEM.SYS*.C8158R00. Where SYS* indicates the SYSnn of the
current running system.
DUMPFILENAME string
specifies the dumpfile to be used for AMP.
Default: $SYSTEM.SYS*.C7838D00. Where SYS* indicates the SYSnn of the
current running system.
AUTODUMP { ON | OFF }
specifies whether the ADAPTER is automatically dumped to the dump file when
the subsystem detects the ADAPTER software abended abnormally. An ON value
indicates the ADAPTER software is automatically dumped.
Default: ON
AUTOFIRMUP { ON | OFF }
specifies whether the ADAPTER firmware is automatically updated with the newer
firmware. An ON value indicates the ADAPTER software is automatically updated if
the version of the firmware in the file specified by the FIRMWFILENAME attribute
is newer than the version of the firmware currently running on the ADAPTER.
Default: OFF
