ALTER ADAPTER Command
AUTODUMP { ON | OFF }
specifies whether the ADAPTER software is automatically dumped to the dump file
when the subsystem detects the ADAPTER software abended abnormally. An ON
value indicates that the ADAPTER software is automatically dumped.
The default value is ON.
AUTOFIRMUP { ON | OFF }
specifies whether the ADAPTER firmware is automatically updated with the newer
firmware. An ON value indicates that the ADAPTER software is automatically
updated if the version of the firmware in the file specified by the FIRMWFILENAME
attribute is newer than the version of the firmware currently running on the
ADAPTER.
The default value is ON.
AUTORELOAD { ON | OFF }
specifies whether the ADAPTER software is automatically reloaded when the
subsystem detects the ADAPTER software abended abnormally. An ON value
indicates the ADAPTER software is automatically reloaded.
The default value is ON.
PROBEINTERVAL 1/100 seconds
specifies the time interval in 1/100th of a second in which AMP sends a probe
message to the ADAPTER to verify the ADAPTER path and the ADAPTER itself is
operational.
The value must be in the range 100 through 1000 (1 second to 10 seconds). A
zero value indicates that probe messages are not sent to the ADAPTER.
PROBECOUNT digit
specifies the count or the number of consecutive errors on probe attempts to be
detected by AMP before declaring the ADAPTER path to be inaccessible.
The value must be in the range 3 through 10.
SYSCONTACT string
specifies the contact person for this managed node. The string specified must be in
the range 0 through 256. This attribute is for informational purposes only.
Default: blanks.
