Click on the New link to create a new entity type. The New Entity Type screen is displayed.

Specify the following information:
Name: Name of the entity type.
Display Name: Display Name of the entity type.
Statistics and Monitoring options: Select the following options to calculate the bit parameters.
Statistics: Select the check box to calculate the statistics for the entity type.
Missing Statistics: Select the check box to display missing statistics for the entity type.
Repeated Missing Statistics: Select the check box to display repeated missing statistics for the entity
type.
Threshold monitoring: Select the check box to enable Threshold Monitoring for the entity type.
Obsolete Entity Type: Select the check box to mark the entity type as obsolete.
On Us: The On Us flag can have three values: N/A, TermFIID and IssuerFIID.
N/A: All entities are logged in the view.
TermFIID or IssuerFIID: If the entities match any of the selected FIIDs, the entities are displayed in the
view else they go off the view.
Schedule (HHMM:HHMM): Select the time interval using the From and To field for calculating statistics and
for threshold monitoring. The time interval will be calculated in hh:mm format only.
Simple/Composite Entity Type: Select the Simple or Composite radio button to specify the entity type as
simple or composite.
Transaction field: Select the transaction field value from the Transaction Field drop-down menu.
Offset: Specify the integer indicating the bits from the beginning to the length specified. Specify the value
as 0 in case the offset for any transaction field is not to be calculated.
Length: Length is specified to read the entity value from offset to the length specified.
Click on the Save
link to add the new Entity Type. This displays the Manage Entity Types screen with the new
Entity Type added.
Use the Edit link to modify the configuration of the existing entity type.
