What’s New in This Manual
HP AutoSYNC User’s Guide—522580-021
xii
New and Changed Information
A source file set name may now be specified as input to INFO SYNCFILESET
commands in addition to a fsetID or a range of fsetIDs.
The method used to configure AutoSYNC to operate in privileged mode has been
improved and simplified. The operations to BIND, OCA, and SQLCOMP
ASYSYNC and ASYSYNCP object files are no longer required and have no useful
effect.
The procedures CALLABLE^LOG^DOWN and CALLABLE^LOCAL^LOGON are
no longer present in ASYSYNC and ASYSYNCP. Instead, it is only necessary to
FUP LICENSE ASYSYNC or ASYSYNCP to obtain all the same benefits. See
instructions in Section 2, Installation, under paragraph Special Cases: Licensed
Synchronization Processes.
Autosync now only upgrades the process trigger file security if the destination
process is remote and the syncuser's process file security has local-only settings.
Previously, the process file security was always set to “NNNN”. See Trigger
Process File Security on page 6-4 for details.
Appendix D, Error Messages was updated to add the description of new EMS
messages.
