This guide has been revised for use with Himalaya S-Series servers and the G01.00
release of the NonStop Kernel.

The following products are not supported by the G01 NonStop Kernel, and all
references to them have been removed:
•
Communications Management Interface (CMI)
•
MacOffender
•
Nomadic Disk
•
NonStop NET/MASTER
•
Remote Duplicate Database Facility (RDF)
•
Remote Operations Facility (ROF)
•
Tandem Maintenance and Diagnostic System (TMDS)

•
Two new products with significant implications for problem management are now
available, and are described in this guide:

Tandem Service Management package (TSM)
•
CA-Unicenter for NonStop Servers
•
The discussion of the Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) has been expanded to
describe SCF’s expanded role for Himalaya S-Series servers.
•
The discussion of DSM/NOW has been replaced by discussion of CA-Unicenter for
Non-Stop Servers, which incorporates DSM/NOW features.

shown to the right of this paragraph.
