File Utility Program (FUP)
File Utility Program (FUP)
FUP is a component of the Tandem NonStop Kernel that can help you manage disk files,
nondisk devices (printers, terminals, tape drives), and processes on your Tandem system.
You can use FUP to create, display, and duplicate files; load data into files; alter file
characteristics; and purge files.
FUP software supports ENSCRIBE disk files (key-sequenced, entry-sequenced, relative,
and unstructured—including text files) and NonStop SQL/MP files (tables, indexes,
partitions, views, and object programs).
You can also use FUP to monitor file sizes and percentage full.
FUP INFO DETAIL Command
The FUP INFO command with the DETAIL option gives detailed information about
files in a specified volume and subvolume. The FUP INFO DETAIL listing has two
formats: one for NonStop SQL/MP tables, indexes, and ENSCRIBE files (Figure 5-3),
and one for SQL/MP views (Figure 5-4).
