Configuring Logging Properties
Configuring Logging Properties
To configure logging properties, choose Properties... from the Server Characteristics and
Properties menu and then click the Logging index tab. The Logging index tab dialog box
is displayed as shown in Figure 6-6.
Step Action Comments
1. Type an IP address for the public
Get community name in the
corresponding IP Address text
box.
If an IP address is typed in this text box, only a
remote SNMP manager with a corresponding
IP address can issue SNMP GET commands.
If the IP address is set to zero, any RAS
Management Tool user can issue SNMP GET
commands.
2. Type an IP address for the
remoteaccess Set community
name in the corresponding IP
Address text box.
If an IP address is typed in this text box, only a
remote SNMP manager with a corresponding
IP address can issue SNMP SET commands.
If the IP address is set to zero, any RAS
Management Tool user can issue SNMP SET
commands.
3. Type a community name for traps
in the Trap text box.
If a community name and IP address are
assigned for traps, the AWAN access server can
send traps to that remote SNMP manager as
long as the remote computer has the same IP
address. To receive traps, the SNMP manager
must be running.
4. Type an IP address for the Trap
community name in the
corresponding IP Address text
box.
5. Click OK.
