Creating a Logging Record File
Creating a Logging Record File
To save log information to an ASCII log file, enable the Save To File check box and then
click Name... to specify the name and location of the logging record file. The Log
Record File dialog box is displayed as shown in Figure 6-7
.
To specify the logging record file you want to create:
1. Type a file name in the File name text box. (Logging record files must be saved with
a .LOG extension.)
2. Specify the drive where you want the logging record file to be stored by selecting a
drive from the Drives drop-down list box.
3. Specify the folder where you want the logging record file to be stored by selecting a
folder from the Folders list box.
4. Click OK to save the file.
You can also map a network drive by clicking the Network... button. The Map Network
Drive dialog box is displayed as shown in Figure 6-8
.
