Step 2: Configuring Security Protocols for a Port
To configure port security, click the Security tab. The Security tab dialog box is
displayed as shown in Figure 7-9.
Step Action Comments
1. Enable the check boxes for the
protocols you want to enable for this
port.
Refer to the protocols recorded for this port
on your Port Configuration Worksheet.
For information about how to select
protocols for ports, refer to Determining IP
Address Assignments for Users on page 7-3.
2. Click Apply.
Note. For IPX-over-PPP and NRN connections only: The remote-node address is
configured by selecting Properties... from the Server Characteristics and Properties menu and
then clicking on the IPX tab. The remote-node address is assigned to users and is shared
across all ports. Refer to Configuring IPX Properties
on page 6-6 for more information.
