Summary of Configuration Tasks
Configuring asychronous terminal and serial printer connections involves a number of
tasks. Table 8-1 lists each task in the order in which it must be performed.
Finally, you should save and store your configuration changes as described in Saving a
Configuration File on page 5-27 and Storing a Configuration File on page 5-29.
Planning Your Port Configurations
You can use the Asynchronous Terminal Port Configuration Worksheet to plan your
asynchronous terminal connections. Instructions for using the worksheet are provided in
note boxes titled Worksheet Instructions throughout this section.
Blank worksheets are provided in Appendix A, Blank Configuration Worksheets
. A
sample completed worksheet is shown in Figure 8-2 on page 8-16.

emulator connections only.
