Configuring a Telserv Process
You can use the SCF INFO WINDOW command to verify that the window has been
configured and started. Example 8-4 shows an SCF INFO WINDOW command display
for a Telserv process named $ZTN1.
Configuring an SU Window
The SU window configuration provides exactly one window. It enables you to associate
an application process or thread with a specific port on the AWAN access server and
therefore with a specific terminal or workstation location.
For an SU window configuration, the initial application must be manually started before
the session is connected from the AWAN access server. When an SU window is
configured, the user must specify the window name at the Telserv Enter Choice>
prompt when connecting to the Himalaya NonStop server.
Configuring an SU window is the same as configuring a window for a static service
except that you must specify a null SERVICENAME in the SCF ADD WINDOW
command. Refer to Configuring a Static Service
on page 8-13 for SCF ADD WINDOW
command syntax. You do not configure a service. The following commands configure
and start an SU window named #WIN2:
1-> ADD WINDOW $ZTN1.#WIN2, SERVICENAME "", SERVICETYPE BLOCK
2-> START WINDOW $ZTN1.#WIN2
You can use the SCF INFO WINDOW command to verify that the window has been
configured and started as shown in Example 8-4.
