Configuring Port L0 on the AWAN Access Server
For more information about the Tandem subsystems required on the Tandem NonStop
server, refer to Configuring the Himalaya NonStop Server on page 8-4. Configuring a
Telserv process is described in Configuring a Telserv Process on page 8-6.
Configuring Port L0 on the AWAN Access Server
To enable the 6530 gateway feature, you must configure port L0 on your AWAN access
server. Port L0 is the template port for the 6530 gateway feature. You configure port L0
with Tandem NonStop server information so that users are connected to the Tandem
NonStop server when they use Telnet to connect to the AWAN access server.
To configure port L0, choose Services... from the Server Characteristics and Properties
Menu and then select Port L0. The Port L0 Configuration dialog box is displayed as
shown in Figure 10-2
.
Using the Port L0 Configuration dialog box is similar to using the Port Properties screen
Adv. Line tab dialog box for asynchronous terminal ports. Follow the instructions
described in Step 3: Configuring Advanced Line Properties
on page 8-23 to configure
values on the Port L0 Configuration dialog box.
Term Type VT65 should be used to enable 6530 emulation on VT/ANSI devices.
