Function-Key Mapping
Function-Key Mapping
The built-in function key mapping for VT-series terminals relies on the use of the
number pad keys of the terminal. Figure 10-3 shows the VT-series number pad with the
6530 function key mapping at the bottom of each key. The period (.) key is designated as
the extended mapping key (EXT). If the EXT key is pressed before one of the other
keys, it upshifts the function key (for example, F1 becomes shifted F1).
