Configuring NASI Dial-Out Connections
Configuring NASI Dial-Out Connections
NASI dial-out enables a PC connected to the local Novell NetWare network to connect
to an internal or external modem attached to the AWAN access server. Configuring
NASI dial-out involves a number of tasks. Table 11-2
describes each task in the order in
which it should be performed.
Finally, you should save and store your configuration changes as described in Saving a
Configuration File on page 5-27 and Storing a Configuration File on page 5-29.
Configuring a NASI Dial-Out Port on the AWAN Access Server
To configure a NASI dial-out port on an AWAN access server, you must perform the
following steps:
1. Configure line and modem properties for the modem port module port or
asynchronous port where the external modem is connected.
2. Configure advanced line properties for the modem port module port or
asynchronous port where the external modem is connected.
3. Reset the port.

subsection is described in Section 5, Using the RAS Management Tool
.
Note. All AWAN access server ports can be shared between dial-in and dial-out applications.
