Configuring Modem Properties
Configuring Modem Properties
To configure modem line settings, choose Properties... from the Port-Specific Menu for
the port you want to configure and then click the Modem tab. The Modem tab dialog
box is displayed as shown in Figure 12-1.
Note. You do not need to perform this task for internal modems.

Step Action Comments
1. See if your modem is listed in the
Model list box.

If your modem is listed, click on it.
An initialization string appears in
the Initialization String text box for
your modem.
•
If your modem is not listed, type
the model in the Model text box
and the initialization string in the
Initialization text box.
If your modem is not listed, refer to your
modem manual for information on setting
the initialization string.
2. Click Apply.
