Configuring Authentication
Save and store your configuration changes as described in Saving a Configuration File
on page 5-27 and Storing a Configuration File on page 5-29.

6. Type the UDP port number of the
RADIUS, SecurID, or XTACACS
server in the UDP Port text box.
7. Type the retry count in the Retry
Count text box.
Default: 4 tries.
8. Type the timeout (in minutes) in
the Timeout text box.
Default: 3 minutes.
9. For RADIUS authentication
only: Type the shared secret
password used by the RADIUS
server in the Shared Secret text
box.
If you do not know the shared secret, ask your
RADIUS server administrator.
10. Click OK. You are returned to the Security tab dialog box
shown in Figure 13-1
.
11. Click Test on the Security tab
dialog box to determine if the
RADIUS, SecurID, or XTACACS
server is available.
If the server is available, the status changes
from unreachable to reachable. You should
always test the status of the server.
12. Click OK.
