Renaming an AWAN Access Server
For information about changing Internet Protocol (IP) and Internet Packet Exchange
(IPX) address information and modifying general, SNMP, logging, and accounting
properties, refer to Section 6, Configuring the AWAN Access Server.
Renaming an AWAN Access Server
To rename your AWAN access server, choose Rename from the Control menu. The
Rename Rack dialog box is displayed as shown in Figure 14-1.
Note. Accessing the menus used to perform the management tasks described in this section
is explained in Section 5, Using the RAS Management Tool.

Step Action Comments
1. Type the current name of your AWAN
access server in the Current Name text
box.
The AWAN access server has its own
unique name. Default names begin with
the letters RA or TS followed by the last
six digits of the AWAN access server’s
media access control (MAC) address.
RA indicates an R model, such as the
3884R, and TS indicates a base model,
such as the 3884.
2. Type the new name of your AWAN access
server in the New Name text box.
3. Click OK.
