Loading a Configuration File
Loading a Configuration File
If your AWAN access server has lost the configuration information stored in its
nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM) because of a power failure or factory
reset, you can load the configuration settings stored in a .CFG file.
You can load some or all of the configuration information for AWAN access server,
depending on the options you specified when the .CFG file was created. For example, if
you stored the port and user database, only those options are enabled in the Option
dialog box when you attempt a Load operation. You can also load server, port, and user
settings from one AWAN access server to another.
To load a configuration file, choose Load... from the Server Characteristics and
Properties menu. The Load Configuration File dialog box is displayed as shown in
Figure 14-21
.
To specify the configuration file you want to load:
1. Specify the drive where the configuration file is stored by selecting a drive from the
Drives drop-down list box.
2. Specify the folder where the configuration file is stored by selecting a folder from
the Folders list box.
3. Choose the configuration file you want to load from the list box provided.
Note. All configuration information is stored in SNMP variables, so configuration information
can be restored even after a unit upgrade. Any new parameters must be configured, however.
