Updating the Runtime Code Using the RAS
Management Tool
2. Log on to the Himalaya NonStop server with super group privileges and enter the
following commands at the TACL prompt:
PARAM TCPIP^PROCESS^NAME $tcp-ip-process
RUN $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.TFTPSRV / NAME $TFTP, NOWAIT / $vol.subvol
$tcp-ip-process is the name of a Tandem NonStop TCP/IP process running on
the Himalaya NonStop server. (The default Tandem NonStop TCP/IP process is
named $ZTC0.) $vol.subvol is the location of the runtime code file (S01) to be
downloaded to the AWAN access server.
3. Power on the AWAN access server.
4. Start the RAS Management Tool and log on as described in Section 5, Using the
RAS Management Tool.
5. Set up an activity log as described in Configuring Logging Properties
on page 6-8.
6. Choose Upgrade from the Server Characteristics and Properties menu. The TFTP
Update dialog box is displayed as shown in Figure 14-27
.
