Internal Modem Problems
Internal Modem Problems
If an internal modem is causing problems, you can force it to busy out by enabling the
Busyout check box on the Modem tab dialog box. Enabling Busyout enables you to take
a problem modem offline and out of the discovery group without affecting the operation
of other modems in the group.
To access modem line settings, choose Properties... from the Port-Specific Menu for the
modem port and then click the Modem tab. The Modem tab dialog box is displayed as
shown in Figure 15-1
.
Enable the Busyout check box and then click OK.

Note. You can also disable an internal modem port by choosing None from the Access drop-
down list box on the Adv. Line tab dialog box; this is the preferred method for disabling a port.
