Port Advanced Line Commands
Change Port Type Command
Use this command to change the Term Type for the port:
port-list
specifies the physical port or ports on the AWAN access server. If this parameter is
omitted, the current port is assumed.
ANSI
is used for non-6530 terminals, for accessing OSS applications on the Tandem
NonStop server, and for remote access ports.
6530
is used for 6530 terminals and emulators and for VT-series terminals emulators
when VT-to-6530 protocol conversion is desired. 6530 is also used for remote access
ports.
HARDCOPY
is used for serial printer connections.
Change Port Username Command
Use this command to specify the username for the Autoconnect feature and manual port
login:
port-list
specifies the physical port or ports on the AWAN access server. If this parameter is
omitted, the current port is assumed.
username
is a valid user name. This parameter must be set to GUEST for the Autoconnect
feature (automatic port login). For manual port login, this parameter can be set to
any valid user name. If this parameter is not used, problems can result; see Enter
Username> Prompt on page C-10 for more information.
Note. Do not use this command for remote Telnet (6530 gateway) ports. Refer to Port L0
Commands on page C-29 for the correct command syntax.
