Comparison
This subsection compares the AWAN access server and the ServerNet wide area network
(SWAN) concentrator. The SWAN concentrator is a LAN-based communications device
that can provide asynchronous terminal and serial printer connections for Himalaya S-
series servers. The SWAN concentrator uses the ATP6100 subsystem on the Himalaya
NonStop server to provide these types of connections.
