Changing the System Administration Password
Changing the System Administration Password
To change the default system administration password, click System Password... on the
Checkpoint Menu Selections dialog box. The Checkpoint Change Password dialog box
is displayed as shown in Figure 4-3.
Note. Change the default system administration password as soon as possible. If the system
administration password is not changed, unauthorized users can easily access the Checkpoint
user list.

Step Action Comments
1. Type checkpoint in the Enter old
password text box.
checkpoint is the default system
administration password.
2. Type the new system administration
password in the Enter new password text
box.
Format: The system administration
password must be a minimum of 6 and
may be a maximum of 15 characters
long.It is case-sensitive.
3. Type the new system administration
password in the Verify new password text
box.
4. Click OK.
