Using the RAS Management Tool Window

Make sure your management workstation has a VGA monitor. If you are using an
EGA monitor, server icons might not be visible in the RAS Management Tool
window.
Using the RAS Management Tool Window
A menu bar is displayed at the top of the RAS Management Tool window and a status
bar is displayed at the bottom. The menu bar enables you to perform tasks, such as
configuring the RAS Management Tool options, while the status bar displays status
information for the RAS Management Tool.
RAS Management Tool Menu Bar
Using the RAS Management Tool menu bar, you can choose from five pull-down
menus. Each pull-down menu provides several selections. The RAS Management Tool
menu bar is shown in Figure 5-7.
Note. You can change the IP address assigned to your AWAN access server. Refer to
Configuring IP Properties on page 6-5 for more information.
Note. The instructions and illustrations in this subsection reflect the way the RAS
Management Tool appears under Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0.

Note. The Discover item is only displayed on the RAS Management Tool menu bar when
automatic discovery is disabled; when automatic discovery is enabled, the Discover item
disappears. Disabling automatic discovery is described in Configuring the Discovery Option on
page 5-20.
