Configuring General Properties
Configuring General Properties
To configure general properties, choose Properties... from the Server Characteristics and
Properties menu. The Properties screen opens up with the General index tab dialog box
displayed. The General index tab dialog box is shown in Figure 6-1
.
The Name text box shows the default name assigned to your AWAN access server.
Default names begin with the letters RA or TS followed by the last six digits of your
AWAN access server’s media access control (MAC) address. RA indicates an R model,
such as the 3884R, and TS indicates a base model, such as the 3884.
Starting with build 029, the version information displayed on the General index tab
dialog box is complete.
You can type a description of your AWAN access server in the Description text box. To
configure contact information, click the Contact Info... button. When you click Contact
Info..., the Contact Information dialog box is displayed as shown in Figure 6-2
.

Note. To change the name of your AWAN access server, choose Rename from the Control
menu. Refer to Renaming an AWAN Access Server on page 14-2 for more information.
