Configuring IPX Properties
To modify an IP address displayed on the IP index tab, type a new address in the
appropriate text box and then click OK.
Configuring IPX Properties
To configure IPX properties, choose Properties... from the Server Characteristics and
Properties menu and then click the IPX index tab. The IPX index tab dialog box is
displayed as shown in Figure 6-4.
The radio buttons in the Source area show how IPX parameters were determined. By
default, the AWAN access server learns the IPX parameters on startup. You can override
the following IPX parameters:
•
Frame type. To override the learned frame type, click the Learn check box in the
Frame Type area (to disable it), then click the option button for the frame type you
want to use in the Detected/Selected area.
•
IPX address. To override the IPX address, type the new IPX address in the Address
text box.
Note. If you modify the AWAN access server’s IP address (Module Address text box), the RAS
Management Tool rediscovers the AWAN access server in about 30 seconds.
Note. The IPX index tab is displayed for AWAN access server models 3883-8R, 3883-16R,
3884R, and 3885R only.
