This equipment has been certified to comply with the limits for a Class A computing
device, pursuant to Subject J of Part 15 of the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) rules and Industry Canada rules. The various regulations that are applicable are in
this appendix.
Only peripherals (computer input/output devices, terminals, printers, and so on) certified
to comply with the Class A limits may be attached to this server. Operation with
noncertified peripherals is likely to result in interference to radio and television
reception.
Instructions to User
This equipment generates and uses radio frequency energy and if not installed and used
properly in strict accordance with the operating instructions may cause interference to
radio or television reception. It has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class A computing device pursuant to Subpart J of Part 15 of FCC Rules, which are
designed to provide reasonable protection against such interference when operated in a
residential installation.
If this equipment does cause interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, you are encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
Re-orient the receiving antenna.
Relocate the equipment with respect to the receiver.
Move the equipment away from the receiver.
Plug the equipment into a different outlet so that the equipment and receiver are on
different circuits.
Ensure that adapter connections are tightly secured.
If peripherals not offered by the vendor are used with equipment, it is suggested that
you use shielded, grounded cables, with in-line filters if necessary.
If necessary, consult your Compaq representative for additional suggestions.
Compaq is not responsible for any radio or television interference caused by
unauthorized modification to this equipment. It is the responsibility of the user to correct
such interference.
WARNING. To comply with FCC regulations on electromagnetic interference for Class A
computing equipment, all cables must be properly shielded and grounded. Using substitute
cables that are not properly shielded and grounded may result in violation of the FCC
regulation.
