BRCOM BACKUP Command Syntax
run-option
specifies how BRCOM starts the DMA. The run options are supported as described
in the TACL Reference Manual, except as listed in Table 6-2. Any run option
specified on the command line overrides a corresponding run option in the IN file.
backup-object-spec
is either OSS objects, SQL/MX objects, or both. To backup either OSS or SQL/MX
objects, specify either oss-backup-object-spec or
sqlmx-backup-object-spec. To back up both OSS objects and SQL/MX
objects, specify an oss-backup-object-spec and
sqlmx-backup-object-spec in either order. You cannot specify more than one
oss-backup-object or more than one sqlmx-backup-object-spec in the
same command. You must group all OSS objects to be backed up together and
group all SQL/MX objects together separate from the OSS objects.

Run Option Meaning
CPU This option specifies the number of the processor where
the DMA is to run. To specify the list of processors in
which the Data Service and Tape Service should run, use
the SERVICECPULIST config-option.
DEFMODE This run option is not supported.
GUARANTEEDSWAPSPACE This run option is not supported.
IN The IN file must be a text file. For more information about
all the restrictions, see Using an IN File
on page 4-7
INLINE This run option is not supported.
INV This run option is not supported.
NOWAIT This run option is ignored because the Backup and
Restore 2 processes always run nowaited.
MAXMAINSTACKSIZE This run option is not supported.
MAXNATIVEHEAPSIZE This run option is not supported.
OUT This run option is not supported. Use the OUT job option
instead. For more information, see OUT Job Option

OUTV This run option is not supported.
PFS This run option is not supported.
STATUS This run option is not supported.
WINDOW This run option is not supported.
