SCF Commands and Objects
The following states are recognized by the CP6100 subsystem:
SCF Commands and Objects
Table 8-2 lists the SCF commands and objects that are applicable to the CP6100
subsystem. These commands are described in detail in this section
State Description
ABORTING The object is being aborted. The object is responding to an ABORT
command or some type of malfunction. In this state, no new links are
allowed and drastic measures may be underway to reach the STOPPED
state. This state is irrevocable.
DIAGNOSING The object is in a subsystem-defined test mode entered via the
DIAGNOSE command.
UNKNOWN The object’s state cannot be determined because the object is
inaccessible.
STARTED The object is initialized and ready for normal data traffic. No restrictions
govern information flow to or from the object.
STARTING The object is being initialized and is in transition to the STARTED state.
STOPPED The object is configured, there are no links either to or from the object, and
no new links may be established. A nonconfigured object cannot report
this state because the process of stopping it causes it to be deleted.
STOPPING The object is in transition to the STOPPED state. No new links are allowed
to or from the object. Existing links are in the process of being deleted.
SUSPENDED The flow of information to and from the object is restricted (typically, it is
prevented). A subsystem must clearly distinguish between the type of
information that is allowed to flow in the SUSPENDED state and that
which normally flows in the STARTED or STOPPED state. In the
SUSPENDED state, the object must complete any outstanding work
defined by the subsystem.
SUSPENDING The object is in transition to the SUSPENDED state. The subsystem must
clearly define the nature of the restrictions that this state imposes on its
objects.
