SWITCH Command
SWITCH Command
The SWITCH command causes the backup CIU path to become the primary CIU path
and the primary CIU path to become the backup CIU path. SWITCH is a sensitive
command.
Command Syntax for the SWITCH Command
The SWITCH command has the following syntax:
OUT file-spec
causes any SCF output generated for this command to be directed to the specified
file.
PROC proc-name
designates the process to be switched. If you omit proc-name, SCF switches the
assumed process (for information about the ASSUME command, see the
SCF Reference Manual for G-Series RVUs or SCF Reference Manual for H-Series
RVUs).
PATH { A | B }
causes the specified line or process to switch to the specified path.
Considerations for the SWITCH Command
•
In the ServerNet wide area network (SWAN) environment, this command has the
effect of switching the CPU from primary to backup or backup to primary.
•
The path specifier is ignored in the SWAN environment.
•
Upon execution of the SWITCH command, the final summary state remains
unchanged.
Example of the SWITCH Command
The following SCF command causes the process to be switched to the brother CPU:
- > SWITCH PROC $CPL1, PATH A
SWITCH [ / OUT file-spec / ] [ PROC proc-name ]
, PATH { A | B }
