Add a CP6100 Profile
Add a CP6100 Profile
A profile defines different modifiers, default values, and ranges of values for the
CP6100 subsystem. The CP6100 subsystem supports the following four profiles:
PCP6ADCP, PCP6BSC, PCP6MPSB, AND PCP6LIU (Refer to CP6100 Subsystem
Management Tools on page 2-6 for the protocols supported by each profile. These
type 832 files are located in the sysnn subvolume. The files are released as part of the
CP6100 product. They contain all the attributes for CP6100 devices and provide the
function of SYSGEN macros for the Integrity NonStop NS-series or NonStop S-series
servers.
If you have already added a CP6100 profile for the type of protocol being configured,
you can skip this step.
1. Issue the following SCF command to see what profiles have been added:
names profile $zzwan.*
The output of the NAMES command lists the profiles that have been added. If the
appropriate CP6100 profile does not exist then it must be added.
2. Add the appropriate CP6100 profile (For example: PCP6ADCP) using the following
SCF command:
add profile $zzwan.#pcp6adcp, file $system.sysnn.pcp6adcp
a. To utilize the X.21 interface when adding the PCP6ADCP profile, use the
following SCF command:
add profile $zzwan.#pcp6adcp, file $system.sysnn.pcp6adcp,
program c8169P20
b. The program file must use the current sysnn. To obtain the current sysnn,

Add a CP6100 Device
Before you add any CP6100 devices, you need to verify that all processes, profiles,
and the SWAN/SWAN2 concentrator have been added and started.
To add a CP6100 device, you should now have the following information available to
successfully execute the ADD DEVICE command:
ADAPTER conc-name
CLIP clip-num
LINE line-num
PATH path-name (optional, will use Path A as the default, or will determine the
available alternate path)
ALTCPU alt-cpu-num
CPU cpu-num
