Adding a CP6100 Device
The following is an example of how to alter the default value of the MAXFRAME
modifier when adding the PCP6ADCP profile to the WAN subsystem.
ADD PROFILE $ZZWAN.#PCP6ADCP, FILE $SYSTEM.SYS00.PCP6ADCP,
MAXFRAME 200
For information on the syntax of this SCF command, refer to the ADD command in the
WAN Subsystem Configuration and Management Manual.
Adding a CP6100 Device
You create a CP6100 line-handler process by adding it as a device to the WAN
subsystem.
ADD DEVICE Command
To create a CP6100 line-handler process, use the WAN subsystem SCF ADD DEVICE
command. The ADD DEVICE command has the following syntax:
device-name
is the device name of the CP6100 line-handler process you want to add. Do not
specify a leading $ sign or name template.
conc-name
is the SWAN/SWAN2 concentrator to be used by this device. The concentrator
must have been previously defined with an ADD ADAPTER command, as
described in the WAN Subsystem Configuration and Management Manual.
ADD DEVICE $ZZWAN.#device-name
{ , ADAPTER conc-name }
{ , ALTCPU alt-cpu-num }
{ , CLIP clip-num }
{ , CPU cpu-num }
[ , HIGHPIN { ON | OFF } ]
{ , IOPOBJECT obj-file-name }
{ , LINE line-num }
[ , modifier-keyword [ modifier-value ] ] ...
[ , MULTI ( existing-device-object ) ]
[ , PATH { A | B } ]
{ , PROFILE existing-profile-name |
, LIKE $existing-device-name }
{ , [ RECSIZE | RSIZE ] max-rec-size }
{ , TYPE type , sub-type }
Note. If the LIKE option is specified instead of the PROFILE option, the ADAPTER, CLIP,
LINE, and PATH attributes can be provided as required, and all other attributes are omitted.
