ADCCP Modifiers
This subsection describes each modifier contained in the PCP6ADCP profile and all
other modifiers that can be used with the ADCCP protocol. For detailed information on
using the Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) to alter the default values for the duration
of the current session, refer to Section 8, Managing CP6100 Using the Subsystem
Control Facility (SCF). For detailed information on permanently altering the modifier
default values contained in the PCP6ADCP profile or creating a new profile, refer to the
WAN Subsystems Configuration and Management Manual.
ABMMODE, ARMMODE, or NRMMODE
The ADCCP protocol supports three line control modes: Asynchronous Balanced Mode
(ABM), Asynchronous Response Mode (ARM), and Normal Response Mode (NRM).
CP6100 has three modifiers that specify the ADCCP logical mode to be supported for
the link. Select a modifier from the following table to specify the mode:
AFLD n
This modifier specifies the maximum number of bytes to be found in each frame’s
address field. Each station can have an address field of unique size up to 4 bytes.
Figure 4-1 illustrates the format of an address field.
Default: NRMMODE
Units: None
Range: N/A
