ADCCP Modifiers
MULTI $Line-name
This modifier assigns multiple lines to one CP6100 line-handler process and allows
one CP6100 I/O process to control as many as six LIUs on a SWAN concentrator.
Specify MULTI for up to six lines that you want to group under a single CP6100 line-
handler process, except for the first line in the group. The line name (otherwise known
as the logical device name) of the group's first line is specified for $Line-name in the
definitions of MULTI for all other lines in the group. The entries for these lines must be
specified in contiguous order and must be of the same line-protocol type.
When using the MULTI modifier, remember the following:
•
Do not mix asynchronous and synchronous lines.
•
Do not allow different data communications products to be controlled by the same
line-handler process.
NOAUTOCONF
This modifier causes the CP6100 line-handler process to send the current
configuration block to the LIU only in response to a WRITEREAD file-system request. If
NOAUTOCONF is specified in the profile file, SCF cannot alter the configuration, and
the modifiers contained in the profile file will have no effect. In such a case, the
application program must configure the line by using a WRITEREAD request. SCF
INFO commands will result in file-system error 160 (invalid state) until the line has
been specifically configured using a WRITEREAD request.
